HMV is having their extravagent sales on blue ray, dvd, cd and some of them are only £3 (I bought 4 copies of the " Priest II " for only £3 and it used to be £12.99 each. it makes sense to stock it up for the Christmas presents or just enjoy it now!!!

The reduced price on "Priest II" is gone and back to £12.99 at HMV but don't be dispaired as they re-packaged " Priest I & II" for only £7 (funny pricing as you can buy that to save £5.99 and get "Priest I".
Also bought the Ang Lee's movie on "Woodstock" Blu ray for £6 (looking forward to see that as I missed that era, too young!)
Where can I buy the DVD of 'Ghost' cheapest ? The one with Pierre Bronson instead of Demi Moore as they are selling it for £12.99 at HMV and I think Supermarkets will sell it cheaper.

Disneys is doing a buy one get one free on DVD and Blu ray (DVD £15 for two) and (Blu ray £25 for two, even better with those DVD & Blue ray package) you can have 4 discs for £25 and I usually keep the Blu ray for myself and give away the DVD to my relatives.

Waitrose is doing a wine and champagne offer (25% on every six bottles purchased) and I worked it out for a bottle of wine of £4 (have to buy 6 bottles though) with the disounted will be only £3 (simple Maths) and the offer will be ended 10 November (this Wednesday).
Hurry!!!

M&S is doing the Christmas type of chocolate and biscuits promotion for 50% off and it is sensable to stock it up for your Christmas presents or own consumption as they all will not expire until sometime next year. the other good thing they do in M&S is to personalise your hamper. I have been doing it for the last few years: go to buy the items either food or something else in M&S and also take your items such as cd, dvd but not large items and go to pick/buy the size of your preferred hamper and they will put all your items and wrap it up for you in transparent wrapping and ribbon.
Tips: I usually buy a few bags of M&S sweets especially those in silver/gold/festive wrappers and ask them to sprinkle it all over the hamper to create that final touch!!!

Charity shops--full of wonderful bargains
Also car boot sales, jumble sales & E-Bay.
These days apart from shoes & underwear I rarely buy anything new!

If you really fancy designer stuff and don't go to the extreme prices; there is an alternative to shop at Charity Shops: one (Oxfam) at the corner of London's Kings Road (opposite Waitrose) and the other one (Cancer Research) in Marylebone High Street (also opposite Waitrose) stock not only second hand but also cut label items from factories.
When I ran the Oxfam Shop in Hong Kong some years ago, we also got all the unclaimed luggages from the Airport Authority (lots of brand new items) and not sure where all the airports in the UK are doing with the left luggages: presume they sell them to some dealers?
