For the over 60 or 65 or those with some related illness, I think all entiltled for flu jab, please go to your GP to book your appointment; sadly I have to pay for the private one! And also realise the other day that they are restricted the Freedom Pass to aged 65 now. I want to grow old soon to have all the benefits and entiltements and as by the time I reach that age, they will get rid of them all.

Did anyone actually got the flu jab (those are entilted) and Boots is charging £12 for a private jab, Is there anywhere cheaper than that?

Have been taking (and paying) for the flu injection for about three years. However, this year a little letter popped through the post from my GP inviting me to have a free one now that I have turned 65. Very efficient. Have now had the injection. I find that the healthcare given to me is excellent. I have never had any problem with having referrals or check ups if I have any concern. *****

It's not very fair, I never receive any benefits or entitlements and I even paid for my own education. By the time I reach that age then they will move it further (older age for pension, flu jab, freedom pass, free prescription etc.) I feel like I'm chasing the entitlement and benefits cycle, a bit like the hamster on the wheel!!!

Staying healthy is a lot easier than getting healthy, but both require following similar principles. Part of the trick is that realistically you need to follow a regime that fits into your lifestyle or at least gives you time to break into a new way of living.

There are some rules to follow to stay healthy and fit:
1. Sleep well (at least 8 hours and not later than 11 p.m.)
2. Reduce stress
3. Keep a balanced diet
4. Take vitamins (I usually buy all the meds from Canada Drugs)
5. Exercise regularly
6. Practice meditation and breathing techniques
7. Stay positive
