There are many people who just love to hear music whenever they are free as it helps to soothe and calm their minds and nerves. Several hit music videos have been released this year 2019 that is worth the download and listening. They do deserve special mention and public attention.

Best music videos of 2019

  • Warm Human, “Down”: This music video is directed by Carol Brandt and has been released on 7th February. The chilly expression displayed of depression and Brandt’s blue tones are just superb. It never actually reveals whether the listener is looking right side-up or upside down. Moreover, biblical imagery tends to add plenty of heft to this video. An albino snake is featured, undoubtedly a smart move.
  • Preoccupations, “Compliance”: It is directed by Evan Henderson and Nicholas Brown and released on 29th January. It features smoke filled landscape besides an industrial monster, resembling tree type superhero, however, having on the back ring of fire. The focused vision is definitely refreshing.
  • Rainbow Kitten Surprise, “Its Called Freefall”: It is directed by Anthony Francisco Schepperd and released on 28th January. An oblique, depressing, animated short film is very much loved by many. The animator and director tries to blend here narrative storytelling with abstract design in a world that is shadow filled and appears like an execution that gets averted at the very last second, due to intervention by horse hair covered hero. The story from here does evolve into psychedelic fever dream to feature devils, dragons and horsewhips.
  • City Girls ft. Cardi B., ‘Twerk’: It is directed by DAPS and released on 16th January. Miami city girls are found to be dedicated with help derived from Cardi B.
  • Vincente Garcia, ‘Ahi Ahi’: It is directed by Alan Del Rio Ortiz and released on 16th May. It has simple ideas that have been executed very well. Hooking up is rather the only major concern of this music video.  A steamy night is chronicled by the video that boasts of having sensuality and humor.
  • Tim Heidecker, “When I Get Up”: Released on 23rd April, some familiar themes can be recognized by Heidecker comedy fans in this new album. There is discomfort of viewing someone trying to embarrass himself, office drone satire, meta humor and horror beats in the video. How quickly the label’s budget gets consumed is understood clearly by the final shot.
  • Jungle, ‘Casio’: It is directed by Charlie Di Placido and Josh Lloyd Watson and got released on 15th January. With music videos being taken over by the laidback dance trend, it becomes quite tough for the choreographed routine to emerge a winner in the crowd. This music video embraces a relaxed vibe to produce energetic and complex dance that has been choreographed by a band member and lead dancer. It does offer hypnotic quality which matches Casio’s low key beats and listeners are sure to enjoy the pleasant trance.
