How To Really Celebrate the Day you were Born

It’s always a wonderful thing to be thankful for what you have accomplished during your lifetime and for the things you have. But there is a larger picture at stake here, and that is appreciating birth itself.

Birth is the beginning to a great life. It is the beginning to how one will fulfill their mission and how chances will be made. A birthday should be celebrated as a momentous occasion, one that should be commemorated the same way a nation celebrates its birth or how a company celebrates its opening day. However, your birth is a day that shouldn’t be just about gifts. It is a day to reflect on how a major event happened, and a way to celebrate and reflect on how we are destined to fulfill our particular calling in life.

Every year, a special event occurs on each and every one of our birthdays. This refers to the energy that God invested in us on the day we were born, as it is now present again. We need to remain open and receptive to that very force. How, you may wonder? The answer is simple. We must commit to a life that is led by God’s will. Our duty is to use our natural-born abilities to perfect not only ourselves, but to do good in society and make a difference. Our mission is to make a world that is both sacred and good for our God.

A birthday is not only time to celebrate your birth itself, it is also a time to reflect on your life and consider everything you have done. Consider all that you have accomplished so far and think about how much more can be performed. Are you spending your time the right way or are you allowing outside distractions pull you away from your true calling? Think about different ways you can strengthen the threads that connect your outer and inner lives.

Birthdays have the ability to teach us about the concept of rebirth. When we recall our birth, we recall a new beginning. Just because things may have gone poorly last year or last month doesn’t mean you cannot try again! Having a birthday is like starting over or hitting the reset button. It is a refresher for your spiritual health.

Think about gathering your family and friends together on your birthday and committing to something meaningful. There is no greater joy than committing a random or planned act of kindness on your special day. While it is always super easy to say thank you for what you have, a better way is by showing it through a kind deed. You don’t do it because someone is making you; you do it because you desire it. Your inner soul wants to show the world that it is thankful for being born.

These acts of kindness will give God a great deal of pleasure. He will see that his child is living up to his or her potential and truly celebrates the day they were born. It also gives a parent great joy to see their child doing good for others. Giving back is the true birth experience, as well as the true meaning of life.
